There are many varieties of squirrel-proof bird feeders, they even sell them at Walmart.

The best way to keep squirrels out of the bird feeders is by providing them with their own food...away from the bird feeders. Squirrels gotta eat, too:)
Not sure where you live? In the UK/Ireland a company called CJ Wildbird foods do a range called ';Defender'; and ';Conqueror'; that are impervious to squirrels
